We are excited to see the current level of progress on the Broome Town Beach Reserve redevelopment. This site is well-known by locals and travelers from different corners of the world for its unique natural phenomenon, the Staircase to the moon. The reserve attracts large crowds for its unique view, night markets, children’s waterpark, historic Indigenous culture, Pioneer Cemetery, old jetty site, Catalina Flying Boat wreck and the Broome Historical Society Museum.

Whilst jumping off an aircraft in Mendoza, west of Argentina this summer, my instructor explained the advancement of solar energy in Argentina. Whilst he is not skydiving, he manages a business in Mendoza which is dedicated to providing renewable energy advice.
Detrimental asbestos effect reduced with smart solutions
Smart solutions will be applied in one of our most recent projects to avoid the harmful exposure to asbestos. The project involves the installation of wireless lighting in a large park in a Perth suburb which has asbestos under the ground.
Passive House presentation afternote
The Passive House Presentation by Timo Bleeker and Daniel Kress showed where we can improve the performance of buildings. Daniel predicts that the principles of Passive House Design will be incorporated in Australia’s constructions by 2030. They found that there is growing interest expressed by both architects and the public.

New energy in our marketing and administration
We are excited to announce that Francine is joining Engineering Consultants Australia. Francine will be expanding our resource in marketing and communications with her experience and interest in the service industry. Specifically, she has experience in customer service and administration within the solar power and construction industries.
What kept us busy
Coming back from a holiday, we had a little pile of work to deliver. All deadlines took place in the last fortnight and we now have capacity for the next round of projects. As a brief review, we got involved in a range of diverse projects. Some recent types are listed below for a flavour. They were all enjoyable, included some new technology of sorts and all pushed the boundaries in various ways.

The Fremantle Chamber of Commerce published the Action Plan for Greater Fremantle, which shows areas of potential for economic development and possible actions that community groups and businesses may find useful.
